Here is Caitrin my Animatic, for the final. Its beed difficult uploading onto a cd, the cd only reads on a mac- thats weird huh? Well anyway here it is, I plan on making this into a 3d animation. If all goes well it will be done in 3-4 months.

Week # 9

so here is the colored versions of the characters Caitrin and The Scarecrow.

And here are some rough sketches of the environment, I hope to color them and have them done by next week.

Week # 7

Here are some acton poses of the Scarecrow and of the girl for my final, I have changed to story after our previous class's discussion, and here it is: (may soud complex but the scene I am going to do is easy to understand. And better yet it has a beginning, middle, and an end.)

As I mentioned about the Scarecrow last time, he is a creature of Phaerie. (American English say: Fairy) in folk lore an enchanted Scarecrow is the product of Phaeries magic- a creature created or 'bewitched' to serve the Phaerie people or the Phaerie royalty more spicfically.

The Scarecrow will creep into the night and take children who are sleeping using it's magic powder, to make sure they stay asleep. In exchange for the baby or child the Scarecrow will leave a Phaerie child or a child of the Phaerie- a changling in it's place.

 Occasionally the Scarecrow will take the soul's of soon departing children or orphaned children whom no one will notice, to bring to the Phaerie royalty, to increase in it's strength or it's own youthful appearence the Phaerie will eat the soul- or enchant it and place it inside of an inanimate object if it so chooses. The soul's are not often kept for long and later released if the Phaerie are done with the soul, or if the enchantment wears off.

My story will consist of the Scarecrow creeping around a town early 400 B.C. in Ireland. (this is where the Scarecrow stories stem from) it will open with the Scarecrow sucking the soul's form orphaned children. The main character will be eating a dirty crust of bread when she hears screams, she jumps up and runs away from the sounds. The Scarecrow will see her and go in persuit. He will round a corner and catch her, she tries to get away. He manages to suck up part of her soul, but she throws her bread into the mouth of his staff and it stops the spell before she can be consumed. She narrowly escapes. However, due to the interruption of the spell some of the Phaerie magic that is keeping the Scarecrow alive is transfered into her to take the place of the part of her missing soul, as a result she is misshappen by the magics. And gets a monsterous arm and Phaerie eye.

Here is some process, not sure if it is flushed out 100% but I am getting there! :)

So I've decided to use "The Little Match Girl" tale and twist it up a bit, there will be a phaerie creature in the story that helps take her soul to the other side when she passes. (aka a grim reaper??)
